French Film Series

I just got back from the first movie in the French Film Series this semester. It was L'ami de Mon Amie, a comedy by catholic director Eric Rohmer. It was mostly dialogue with no soundtrack. Set in the sterile community of a planned Parisian suburb. It was pretty funny.

I feel relieved. I finished my Spanish presentation for last Thursday and took this morning's History test. I'm exhausted mentally and physically. I just want to rest this weekend, but I've got an upcoming French test and a Philosophy essay to work on.

Sorry to vent, I'm just leaving my stress here online so I can get on with my weekend. So how are you all? :)

God bless,
-Rebekah

That's impressive that you understood an entire film in French! How do you think you did on the History test? I'm so glad I don't have to take history at JPCatholic. I found it rather boring all through high school. Unfortunately, I had to take philosophy last quarter. I got an 'A' in the class, but I didn't enjoy the ten weeks I spent studying it.

I move back to JPCatholic on Monday and start school again on Thursday.

Good luck on your French test. It sounds like you will do fine.:)

There were subtitles, but I was able to understand many parts pretty well without. The diologue in this movie is pretty basic and the pronunciation is clear.

The history test was OK. I feel like I did better on one part and worse on an other part than I was expecting. We'll see. (btw, I don't like history either)
