What is a feed reader subscription?
Am I going to have LDS missionaries or Jehovah Witnesses at my door?
You subscribe to a feed, and then the feedreader reads the feed, and then you use the feedreader to read your subscription. Makes sense, right? :)

Probably makes sense if I knew what you're talking about. Is it a notice that you added something to your blog? Do I have to download the feedreader? Well, I trust you so I'll subscribe.
