The espresso machine at Jazzman's has been broken for over a week now, which means no mochas, no cocoa, nothing but straight brewed coffee. (which keeps you awake, but it's sour) So Schloeder labs, STM 229, has created a little something for your drinking pleasure.
You know how Jazzman's sells peppermint cocoa? I tried it before the machine broke, and it was good, but it costs about $2.50. Well, forget them! You can do it yourself! with a starlight mint! Don't believe me? Give it a try! Just...
heat a mug of water and add a starlight mint (like from the caf) stir for a little while. It will dissolve pretty quickly, but you don't have to wait for it. The water should turn a cloudy pink. Now you have what I like to call "peppermint stock." Just add your hot cocoa mix, ignoring the fact that the water isn't clear. Stir and enjoy! If the mint isn't dissolved yet, just mix it around every once in a while. You can start drinking before it's completely dissolved, but it doesn't take too long.
Also, you can flavor Jazzman's coffee with a Werthers'. But this still doesn't deal with the aftertaste.
