This also happened two weeks ago. In my defense, I was trying to find photos online before posting. It doesn't make sense. That guy must have taken 300 pictures, and I can't find a single one!
So, I got to meet Fr. Roderick! Well, not meet really. But he sat next to me. And Jennifer and Greg Willits were on the other side. That wasn't my fault, believe me. I don't enjoy awkward. :)
But, yeah. The SQPN gang was in town the first weekend of April for FUS's Media and Faith Conference. That last link has video of the sessions. I was able to be there for the podcasting panel, which was pretty cool and quite interesting.
The meet and greet was in Heavenly Grounds (the coffee shop on lower campus) from 3-5. Because Lord's Day (that's a HH thing) starts at 4:00, I had to leave early, but it was still neat to hang out with all the podcasters and bloggers and techno geeks. It was, however, a tad awkward because, though they were really friendly, I got the feeling that they all already knew eachother from online. I love The Daily Breakfast, but I'm not geeky about it, so I was sort of the odd one out. (NOTE: I am not geeky about SQPN because I'm too busy being geeky about other things.)
If I ever manage to find photos of the meet and greet, I'll be sure to share, because there's bound to be a bunch of me, seeing as, as I said, I was sandwiched between Greg and Jennifer Willits and Fr. Roderick. :)
