So, Ruah week was over a week ago, but I'm still going to post about it.
So, as I mentioned before, I came back to my room that Wednesday night (4/2) to find signs on my door and a shirt on the floor.
There are a few rules that Molly and I had to follow for that week (Thu-Wed)...
-We had to wear that shirt every day for teh whole week, except Sunday (needless to say, I did laundry Sunday)
-We had to go to daily Mass at 6:30 am. This got to be exhausting when I had to stay up late working on schoolwork near the end of the week.
-We had to schedule a date with each household sister. With Molly's and my intents, there are now 6 members (1 of which is in Rome this semseter), 2 intents, and 2 sisters. That makes 8 dates in one week. Almost every hour on Mon-Wed was tightly scheduled. It was great to spend time one-on-one with everyone, though. I usually don't get that oportunity to get to know them separately.
-We also had to say "Ruah" whenever we saw someone from household. It was a bit awkward and a little hard to remember. But at the end of the week, it felt funny to just say, "hi".
On Friday night, we were kidnapped. Not really, in fact, not at all. They just took us out for dinner, but they made us close our eyes. The idea is to bring each intent to eat their favorite kind of food. In our case, they decided that Indian+Polish=Italian. Flawless logic!
Only as we walked out did I realize that we were at the hotel where we stayed for the Scanlan Scholarship.
Then on Wednesday night, we had a very amazing holy hour. Not much can really be said, just cause Grace tends to exist apart from words.
So that was Ruah week. It was neat that we finally got to wear our intent shirts in Honors class (which Molly and I have together).
There was a photo taken at the holy hour, which I will post when I get a copy.
God bless, all!
