I can't help but think that it's a little tacky for the GOVERNMENT to make it's "Vote-By-Mail" voters (that's what absentee is called now) pay for their own postage. I guess freedom really ain't free--It costs $0.41.

That's not the point. I agree that we all owe a debt to our country. But that debt is not postage. I don't want to go as far as to call it a poll tax, but at very least no one can argue that it's really cheesy.
