From the JC

You know, it's exactly because I do have Irish pride that I have trouble with St. Patrick's Day. My Bracken T-shirt feels out of place.

Why does your Bracken shirt feel out of place? Other than the fact that it has orange.

It represents a different world. I know there's a large part of St. Patrick's Day that involves lots of beer and noise. But that's not the part that I grew up loving. It's not the part that makes me proud to be Irish.

So you're used to the Irish St. Patrick's Day and not the Americanized version?

Sorry, who is this?

And in answer-I'm not sure really what the Irish version is, I guess I imagine it something like Mardi Gras in New Orleans. And if that's the case, then what I'm "used to" is the celebration of the traditional culture of music and dance.
