I'm really spoiled. The palms here are all yellow and dry. I hear they don't have any palm trees out here!
The had us sit down for the long gospel in Mass today. Wimps! Fortunately, there were so many people that I had to stand in the back, so I was able to stand for the gospel. :)

We had to sit for the gospel at St. Michaels too.

[with look of blank confusion] Aren't palms always like that?
The basic assumptions on which I base my life are being shattered one by one.
When our parish was new our pastor was very thrifty and asked the parishoners to bring the palms from their trees. We sat for the gospel yesterday too but at least we didn't have to do the "crucify him" participation line. I always hated having say that.
